Last Argument i was in

The last argument i was in was when a friend and I got into an argument on adrian peterson. He was trying to tell me that LT was a better running back then AP. I strongly disagreed with him. He started giving me statistics about LT and then i countered with statistics about AP. This went on for 10 minutes and for a couple seconds there it had the possibility of breaking into a fist fight. I was able to avoid that by talking about something we both agreed on.

My earliest Memory

MY earliest memory was my 4th birthday party. I think what made me remember this was because that was the day i got my fingers smashed and had to go to the hospital. It all started when my cousins and I went outside to play in these power wheels we got for christmas. AFter messing around with this it was time for my cake. We were living in apartments at the time and the front door was really heavy. So my older brother was holding it for me and thought i was in when he let go. I wasnt in though and tried to stop the door with my hands but all that resulted was my hand getting squished. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs after i looked at my fingers and all i saw my hand flat with just the bones and skin. I had to go to the hospital where i placed my hand in a bowl of blood and had my hand soak the blood in. So my first memory was a painful one.

Likes and Dislikes about Argument Paper

What i enjoyed the most about writing my argument paper was doing the research to become more knowledgeable about the argument. I was able to come to more grips on the topic and really choose where i stood in that argument. It is also nice to find out where the origin of this argument came about.

What i disliked about argument papers i guess is the time that that you have to put into it if you want it to become a good strong article. If you just slack of and dont put anytime into it your argument will reflect that. I also hated figuring out APA citation and sourcing the paper in general.

What do i want to know about argument papers

I really dont have any questions when it comes to argument papers except for if we should have them be opiniated and how much detail are we supposed to go into on the opposite view of are argument. I know in my paper i only make 1 or 2 statements on their point of view and then go directly into my argument. I would also like to know where in my paper im supposed to put it. I would also like to know where i am supposed to put the history of abortion in my paper.

Audience for my Argument

The audience for my argument would be women who are pregnant and thinking about abortion. The main person i would try to convince not to is 18 year old Betty Sue. She got pregnant with her high school prom date and she wants to go to college. She is scared that if she has the baby she wont be able to go to college because she will have to raise the baby and doesnt know if the father will help. She doesnt follow a religion closely so she wouldnt have to worry about going against it.

Fallacy

The fallacy I tend to use the most is the appeal to authority. When i make arguments I will usually agree with someone who has a lot of knowledge or authority on a certain subject. Even though he could be wrong i still use it for an argument because i think he's right. Appeal to popularity is another one i tend to use because if i use something that a popular person said i will have a lot more people agree with my argument then the other.

Personal Essays

The thing i liked the most about personal essays is that there is no research involved. All you have to do for the essay is just reflect on your own experiences. Its nice to everyonce in a while just to write about yourself. So having no research involved was the best and not having to worry about work cited page was also nice.
What i hated the most about writing personal essays is just trying to remember stuff about an experience. After 10 years you can forget about how you felt over a certain experience. But other than that their isnt a lot that i hate about personal essays.
